HIsmelt Kwinana Joint Venture Iron Making Plant – Plant demolition, sale of assets and lease clean-up.
The HIsmelt Plant is located in the Kwinana industrial area, approximately 40kms to the south of Perth, Western Australia.
The Plant was in operation until late in 2008, at which point it was placed into a state of care and maintenance until June 2012 when the Plant was de-energised ,
Onyx Projects, as the EPCM and Client’s Engineer, will manage the project schedule and the selected demolition contractor for the demolition of the Plant and rehabilitation of the lease to the land owner (Land Corp).
Onyx Projects has been involved in the HIsmelt plant’s decommissioning since March of 2011 and has completed several studies in relation to the demolition and removal of the plant and the relinquishment of the lease to the land owner.
